The Wedding

Joe and Kristine were married at Kinnitty Castle in County Offaly, Ireland.

The two-day event (which was described by Joe as 'the mother of all parties') was attended mostly by family and close friends, although a smattering of celebrities joined in the fun, Ricky Warwick ex-The Almighty served as Joe's best man. Musical entertainment was supplied by Racing Cars, featuring (tour manager) Malvin's brother. The inevitable jam session, which took place towards the end of the evening, saw Joe and Ian Hunter perform a medley of Beatles and The Who songs. Brian May, who was desperate to get up, went missing in action at this crucial time, possibly because the resident ghost in the dungeon bar bought him too many drinks (or so we heard). Unfortunately, not all members of Def Leppard were present to lend their support: sadly, Rick Allen was unable to attend."

The wedding had been shrouded in secrecy, invitations having been delivered as scrolls, and the location was kept under wraps until the last minute.
